Children’s Choir- (ages 5-13) This group rehearses two Wednesday evenings per month from
6:30-7:30PM in the Choir Room beginning after Labor Day through May. Children learn about
Christ through a Bible lesson, rehearse music to present during the 9:15 am service once a
month, have a snack/fellowship time and explore the use of movement with the music. New
members are always welcome.

Chancel Choir- rehearses every Thursday evening from 7:30-9:00 PM in the Choir Room.
Anthems are presented during the 11:00 AM worship service beginning the first Sunday after
Labor Day through the last Sunday in May. Special choral music is prepared for St. Francis
Day, All Saints Day, and Thanksgiving Eve. Two anthems per Sunday are presented during
Advent and Lent often with vocal soloists and instrumentalists. Newly added to the Event
Calendar at St. John’s is the Annual Festival of Lessons and Carols held on the first Sunday
after Christmas in the afternoon. Christmas Eve Services at 7:30 and 11:00 PM and Easter
Services at 9:15 and 11:00 AM are punctuated with a brass quartet, strings and other special
music. High School students through adults are most welcome.

Summer Music Series- A new series begun in the Summer of 2009, features both guest
musicians and St. John’s own at the 10:00 AM worship service. It begins the last Sunday in
May and continues until the Sunday before Labor Day. This provides an excellent opportunity
for vocalists and instrumentalists of all ages to use their talents to present music.
